Sport

We have several sporting clubs and facilities and a large car park or access to public transport (Reading Buses routes 23 and 24).

Please contact us if you are interested in joining any of these groups, or would just like more information.

Badminton

Our badminton club meets for group games three times per week:  Monday evenings, Wednesday and Friday mornings.  All are in the Recreation Wing in the “top building” behind the social centre.  If you’re interested in joining one of these sessions, please contact Bob Bonson.

Badminton members can now also book the court for an individual game.  To access our online booking system, click here.  Click to join as a new member or renew an existing membership.

Unfortunately, we’re currently unable to coach beginners.  However, if you’re an experienced player and would like to coach others when the court is not presently in use, we’d love to hear from you as we do get a few enquiries from people looking to take up Badminton.  Please contact us to discuss.

Table Tennis

Our table tennis club meets on a Tuesday evening, also in the Recreation Wing.

If you’re interested in joining, please contact John Crosfield.

We have youth sessions which will take place on Sunday mornings.  Please contact us for details.

Squash and Racketball

We have two squash courts for use by our squash club.  At a time when many places are closing their squash courts, ours are in their own purpose built wing (to the right of the social centre) and have their own changing rooms and showers as you would expect.  Our squash club currently has vacancies and at only £60 (plus your Association membership), we’re significantly cheaper than some other private clubs.

To access the squash court booking system, click here.  You must be a member before making a booking.  Click to join as a new member or renew an existing membership.

You can also read our protocols for playing squash safely in our premises. (Last updated December 2020)

We also have members who play racketball if you’d be interested in joining them.

Bridge

Caversham Park Bridge Club meets every Monday in the Milestone Centre, for duplicate bridge, 7:15 for a 7:30 start. EBU affiliated, computer dealing and scoring. Free car park, bar, full disabled access.
